The Banting Postdoctoral Fellowships program 2022 provides full funding for international students. Banting Postdoctoral Fellowships are worth $70,000 per year for two years.
Banting Postdoctoral Fellowships provide funding to the best postdoctoral candidates, both nationally and internationally, who will positively contribute to the growth of the country from an economic, social, and scientific standpoint.
Each year, 70 new two-year fellowships will be awarded by Canada’s three granting agencies: The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), the Natural Science and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC).
Through the Banting Postdoctoral Fellowships, we aim to recruit international and Canadian postdoctoral researchers at an internationally competitive level of funding so that we can build world-class research capacity. Through a research-intensive career, the program serves to attract and retain top-tier postdoctoral talent in Canada and abroad, to develop their leadership potential, and to position them for success as future research leaders who will positively contribute to Canada’s economic, social and research-based growth.
