Glass Cutting Equipment and Techniques: Cut glass plate free-hand (curved cuts). Cut glass plate manually (straight cuts). Circular cutters. Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Glazier Trade Certification. Working at heights training. Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years. Additional Skills: Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications. Work Setting: Residential. Commercial. Specific Skills: Repair glass doors and other glass structures. Position and secure panes in frame. Measure, mark and cut glass. Install door, window and other hardware. Determine type of glass, frames and material required. Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors or glass products. Own Tools/Equipment: Tools. Steel-toed safety boots. Hard hat. Safety glasses/goggles. Gloves. Work Site Environment: Dangerous. At heights. Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation. Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Standing for extended periods. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Work Location Information: Willing to relocate. Installation Specialization: Skylights and slope glazed installations. Curtain walls. Aluminum storefronts, barrel vaults, solariums, commercial window systems.
